Harran

Harran

Beehive houses in Harran

GEN 11:31. " ... and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there."

GEN 11:32. " ... Terah died in Haran."

This is what the Bible has to say about Harran. Harran is one of the oldest continuously inhabited spots on earth. Its ruined walls and Ulu Cami, its crumbling fortress and beehive houses give it a feeling of deep antiquity.
